Amazonis is one of three colonies originally founded on Mars; Elysium, Memnonia, and Amazonis. During the age of tourism, it was an activity-based destination for tourists.
By 2471, the year Levana’s egg hatches, Amazonis is a destroyed and abandoned city. According to “The Fate of Amazonis,” the written history of Mars is lost after World War III on Terra, and therefore few know what happen to the Amazonis. Many conflicting cultural stories stemming from the different factions have emerged to explain the history of Amazonis.
Some stories assert an Arach horde destroyed the colonies, others believe it was a brutal meteor shower predating the Electric Gold event in 2362, which marked the beginning of hundreds of meteor showers on Mars.
